Ready Mix Feed Mill Products are high-energy liquid feed ingredients designed for the manufacturer who produces textured feeds. Ready Mix has been developed to give textured feed a golden color, moist texture, and sweet aroma, and to reduce mold problems. Ready Mix contains sweet cane molasses, special fat sources, preservatives, emulsifiers, and surfactants. It allows feed mills to run more efficiently by reducing equipment clean up time. Due to its special anti-caking characteristics, it will also improve customer handling by reducing feed set-up in the bag. Ready Mix is also available with different levels of preservative for improved mold control.
Ready Mix flows and mixes better than cane molasses in meal and textured feeds. It provides a sweet, natural aroma unlike many low cost blend. Ready Mix is more readily absorbed into meal type fees, reducing bulk bin hang-up and caking problems in bags. Ready Mix reduces molasses/feed build up on equipment. and any build up that does occur is easier to clean. This can help reduce clean up and maintenance costs. Ready Mix coats textured feeds more evenly than cane molasses or blends to give feed a consistent appearance with fewer dry areas and fines.
Ready Mix is flexible. You may choose from a variety of preservation and mold inhibition packs, depending on climatic conditions, shelf life requirements and/or grain condition. Ready Mix's base product contains the equivalent of 6# propionic acid. This level is good for cold climates and seasons. Use the base level also for times when the shelf life of the feeds is minimal. Ready mix summer preservative is equal to 12# of propionic acid. Use it during hot or humid weather conditions. The summer level should also be used during times of stress such as poor grain condition or a high level of fines. Use also when feed is to be stored for long periods of time or in poor storage conditions. The stress level is equal to 20# of propionic acid. This should be used for feed that is to be stored for an excessive period of time and under duress. Use the stress level also for grains that are in poor condition or contain excessive amount of fines. Stress level is also for areas with high humidity.
Ready Mix has several different formulas. These formulas contain different levels of dry matter and levels of fat. Ready Mix can also have flavoring or additional additives included. You can select the right product to fit your special needs and seasonal conditions. Some simple rules of thumb are raise the fat levels during the winter to prevent the bags from setting up and getting hard. Ready Mix 64 is great for the feed mill that can't handle a product with a higher dry matter. This is an excellent product for winter months or colder climates because it flows very well in colder temperatures.
Ready Mix 66 is also good for mills that require and easy pumping product. It is good for winter months, but contains enough dry matter that is can be used in areas with cooler year round climates.
Ready Mix 68 is excellent for all types of mills. It can be used in winter and summer months. Many feed mills use it in the winter because the extra fat keeps the bags from getting hard.
Ready Mix 70 is a middle of the road product for most types of mills. Many feed mills that do not want to change products with the seasons like this formula because it works in all types of climates.
Ready Mix 72 is good during the summer and in warmer climates. With its higher dry matter and lower fat level, mills will produce moist textured feeds by using it.
Ready Mix 75 is the "Cadillac" of our products. Although it is a product that requires just the right equipment, the moistest, glossiest feed possible will be manufactured. It is a product worth the time and effort!
